Meet the band: LYRECA

This experienced and passionate trio brings two-part vocals, guitar (acoustic or with a touch of electricity) and subtle percussion. Their musical path has already led them to a wide range of events, including baptisms, wedding ceremonies, farewell services, fashion shows, aperitif concerts and academic sessions. Full of enthusiasm, they are now also looking forward to the very first singing session they will have the pleasure of accompanying!

Xenia

Xenia has both classical vocal training as well as taking CVT lessons with Sarah Algoet. She got this opportunity when she won an interfaculty competition during her university studies in Leuven. Xenia is a lyrical soprano with a jazzy timbre. Her great examples are therefore none other than Ella Fitzgerald, Amy Winehouse and Norah Jones. Finally, Xenia is also lead singer in the rock/pop band ‘Mission Kowalski’.

Yves

Yves has been playing guitar since he was ten years old. He attended music school where he mastered notes, chords, (both power and barré) riffs, ensemble and especially the blues he loved. Currently, Yves is also taking singing lessons.  Yves’ sources of inspiration are Pink Floyd , Dire Straites and Eric Clapton. Finally, Yves is also lead guitarist in the rock/alternative rock band ‘PGM’, where he has also written some sensitive songs himself.
